Setting Up Your Environment
Use the following checklists to set up your environments before you upgrade NerveCenter.
NerveCenter 3.8 supports the SNMP v3 protocols. If you intend to manage SNMP v3 agents, you must use NerveCenter as your trap source. This means that the Microsoft or OpenView trap services must be turned off and disabled on your system. Though these services may be running for v3.6 or v3.7, you must disable them prior to installing NerveCenter 3.8 if you want to manage SNMP v3 agents.
If you need detailed instructions for doing any of the following, see Installing NerveCenter.
