Overview of this book

Installing NerveCenter describes how to install and configure NerveCenter.

   It is assumed you are an experienced network administrator and are familiar with the platforms on which you are installing.

Installing NerveCenter contains the following sections:

Chapter 1, Installing NerveCenter on UNIX	Describes the prerequisites and procedures for installing NerveCenter on HP-UX and Solaris and lists the tasks you do after installation and where you can find more information about them.
Chapter 2, Running Setup on Windows	Describes the prerequisites and procedures for installing NerveCenter on Windows and lists the tasks you do after installation and where you can find more information about them.
Chapter 3, Setting Up the Database on Windows	Describes how to create a new database, upgrade an existing database, and connect to an existing database.
Chapter 4, Doing Silent and Remote Installations on Windows	Describes how to install NerveCenter on Windows by running Setup from the command line or by using Microsoft Systems Management Server.
Chapter 5, Removing Open NerveCenter	Describes how to remove NerveCenter from UNIX and Windows platforms.
