Configuring Security

The Security Options dialog box is only displayed if you are installing the NerveCenter Server. If you are not installing a server, then skip to Selecting the Program Folder.

The Security Options dialog box lets you decide whether to set up NerveCenter security. If you decide to use NerveCenter security, NerveCenter will validate users against membership in either the NerveCenter Admins or NerveCenter Users Windows user groups, which will be created by Setup.

  To configure security:

1. If you want to use NerveCenter security, select Yes.

   ---

   Note    If you are upgrading your NerveCenter software and you select Yes, Setup will add your user ID to your existing local groups.

   ---

2. Select Next.
