Selecting the Components to Install

The NerveCenter Components dialog box lets you select the NerveCenter components you want to install.

   You can install the client on any number of machines. However, your license key limits the number of clients that can connect to the server at any one time.

  To select the components:

1. Select one or more of the following checkboxes:
   • Client -- Lets you monitor your network or manage behavior models.
   • Administrator -- Lets you configure the server and manage NerveCenter.
   • Server -- Monitors managed nodes, performs actions associated with alarm transitions, and maintains NerveCenter objects.
   • Platform support -- Integrates NerveCenter with your network management platform.
   • Web support -- Lets you monitor your network from any machine that has a Web browser.

     You do not need to have a Web server installed on this machine; however, if you don't, you will have to do some manual configuration after you finish installing NerveCenter. See Where to Go from Here.

   • Online documentation -- Provides the complete NerveCenter library online.
