Alarm Actions - SMTP Mail -
The SMTP Mail alarm action enables an alarm to send mail concerning a transition to anyone with access to an SMTP server. This mail contains the name of the alarm that underwent the transition, the name and severity of the destination state, the name of the node being monitored, and so on.
To add an SMTP Mail action to a transition:
New Action
button.A pop-up menu listing all alarm actions is displayed.

from the pop-up menu.The SMTP Mail Action dialog is displayed.

button in the SMTP Mail Action dialog.The new action appears in the list of actions in the Transition Definition window.
