Integration with Veritas Manage Exec

Veritas Manage Exec (formerly called LANAlert) is a product that enables you to manage Windows NT systems and NetWare servers. It monitors over 1000 conditions on Windows NT systems, allowing you to set thresholds for:

• CPU utilization
• Connections
• Memory
• Cache
• I/O
• Disks and volumes
• Services and processes
• Performance counters
• Event log entries

When a value crosses a threshold, an Alert Agent generates an alert. After the agent generates this alert, either the Alert Agent or the Alert Server can send an SNMP trap describing the alert to NerveCenter.

Integrating NerveCenter with Manage Exec gives users monitoring Windows NT systems access to a great deal of system management information that they would not otherwise have access to from within NerveCenter. This integration unleashes the full power of NerveCenter on Windows NT and NetWare.
