Starting the NerveCenter Server

Though NerveCenter can be installed to start automatically as a UNIX daemon or Window service, we installed NerveCenter so that the Server must be started manually.

 
  To start the server:

  Depending on your platform, do one of the following:
• In a UNIX shell, type
  ncserver &

  Then, press Enter. If the server is unable to start, make sure you have correctly set your environment variables. See Setting Environment Variables.

• On Windows, choose NerveCenter Service from the OPEN NerveCenter program group on the Start menu.

The NerveCenter Server is started on your machine.
